Meet Stephen Baker, a man serving a 150-month sentence for a nonviolent cannabis offense. Since 2014, he's navigated the complexities of the legal system, facing challenges that extend far beyond the confines of his sentence. Currently participating in the RDAP program, Stephen hopes for release in 5 months, yet his journey has been marked by heartbreak and setbacks.

While striving to complete the program, tragedy struck as Stephen lost his father just two weeks ago. The hurdles seem unending, a cruel pattern that knocks him back each time he strives for progress. Witnessing others profit from the cannabis industry while enduring the loss of family, friends, and personal belongings, Stephen reflects on the injustice of his situation.

Despite having two daughters, he has missed every significant event in their lives, from his daughter being crowned homecoming queen to the precious everyday moments. His story is emblematic of the harsh reality faced by those incarcerated for nonviolent offenses, a system that uses tactics like "ghost dope" to perpetuate unjust sentences.

Despite facing a challenging choice between a lengthy sentence and uncertain outcomes, Stephen sheds light on the flaws within the legal system, revealing the impact on families, relationships, and personal growth.
