Richard Flor
Sentenced 5 Years for Legal Medical Marijuana Dispensary

Richard Flor, 68-years old, legally co-owned and operated five cannabis dispensaries in Montana when the federal government seized them and incarcerated him in 2011. He was one of the first citizens of Montana to receive prescribed cannabis. He suffered from preexisting medical complications and died while not even four months into imprisonment. His daughter, Kristin, continues to be a voice for her father's story and advocate for other pot prisoners.

“He opened up five dispensaries across the state with his business partners; he really believed in the medical benefits of the plant.”
